This Grand Cru offering is from the town of Pitalito, in the Huila Region of Colombia. It is a washed processed Gesha grown by Dionel Chilito on his La Pradera Farm. Like many other producers, Dionel comes from a coffee producing family and got his start when his father gave him a small piece of land to plant 2,000 Caturra trees. Dionel has been slowly replacing those Caturra trees with Gesha trees, and the results have been very positive! Dionel has seen high cup scores and higher prices for his green coffee. We previously offered a Honey Processed Gesha this past Holiday Season, and we are excited to offer another Gesha again this summer. The washed process on this Gesha yields the classic floral, delicate flavor profile that made Gesha famous many years ago.
