Brew Method
French Press
What you’ll need :
12oz French Press
Kettle
Scale
Timer
Stirrer
20g of freshly ground French Truck Coffee
Step by Step:
- Grind 20g of coffee to a med-course grind size (about the size of course sea salt).
- Add ground coffee to the French Press.
- Start a timer. Then pour 300g hot water (204º) over the grounds.
- Stir the coffee, ensuring all the grounds are saturated.
- Place the plunger lightly on top of the French Press to keep everything hot. Let it brew until the timer reaches 4 minutes.
- After 4 minutes, carefully and slowly begin pushing the plunger down. Take 15-20 seconds to push the plunger down fully.
- Serve and enjoy!
Brew Tips: Ensure the French Press lid is as level as possible when placing it on top to prevent coffee grounds from coming through the sides.

pour over
What you’ll need:
Hario V60 02 Dripper
Hairo Filter-02
Carafe or Mug
Gooseneck Kettle
Scale
Timer
23g of freshly ground French Truck Coffee
Step by Step
- Weigh out 23g of coffee.
- Grind coffee to a medium-fine grind, about the size of granulated sugar.
- Fold the edge of the filter and place it in the dripper.
- Rinse the filter with hot water, then get rid of rinse water.
- Add ground coffee into the dripper. Give it a gentle shake to level.
- Place the dripper and carafe onto the scale and tare.
- Ensure the kettle is full with hot water (204ºf).
- Start a timer, then begin the bloom. Start by carefully pouring directly into the center of the coffee, then pour in small circles going outwards and then back to the center until you reach 46 grams of water. Ensure all the coffee is saturated using just 46 grams of water.
- Wait until the timer reaches 40 seconds.
- At 40 seconds, start a second pour. Again, start from the center, pour small circles outward to the edge, and then back to the center. Pour until you reach a total of 350g water in one minute.
- Let the coffee fully drip through. It should take 3-3.5 minutes.
- Enjoy!
Brew Tips
- Adjust the grind size if your pour-over isn’t brewing in 3-3.5 minutes. If it’s too fast, make your grind finer. Too Slow? Make your grind coarser.
